  1. I took a VCD and used VCD gear to bring the .dat file back into an MPEG. Been using TMPEGNC 2.5 to load the MPEG.. Which have always worked fine with me.. But my MPEG2 30 days expired kicked in so I had to switch from that to TMPGENC Plus 2.5.. But it will not load any of the mpegs that I've ran through VCD Gear. Anyone have any ideas on this?

  2. Hey.....what error are you getting??

But more importantly..I don't think you have to worry about that 30 days mpeg-2 expiration anymore.

I believe this replaces the old one with a new, free mpeg-2 codec that doesn't expire.

    TRY THIS

    GOOD LUCK!!

  3. That is only an mpeg2 decoder not an encoder. TMPGEnc does not come with an mpeg2 decoder, it is the encoder that expires after 30 days.

  5. Nate, thanks for that link. It has gotten me a step further and here is what I got. First thing I did I loaded that editor (I believe it is) that came with that encoder. I didn't do anything I just opened the mpeg and just saved it. Opened TMPGENC and I was able to load the file then. The 2nd thing I tried was installed the that encoder in the TMPGENC directory and I also was able to load that file so now all is good as far as I can tell. I just hope that it is using the TMPG encoder instead of that one because it looked a little buggy. I just want to use whatever file I needed to load these mpegs whatever the hell is wrong with them I have no idea.
