  1. Code:
    video=avisource("intro.avi") + avisource("harrychamber.avi")
    audio=wavsource("intro.wav") + wavsource("harry1.wav")
    audiodub(video,audio2)
    the intro WAVE and intro AVI are both 9.000 seconds exactly
    and harrychamber AVI and harry1 WAVE and both from the same AVI and were in sync

    both AVI's are Xvid encoded the same and the WAVE files are both raw WAVES

    any ideas ???
    what am i just over looking totally

    OH the Audio is way behind the video

    thanx

    What are you encoding to?? Your .wav files should be resampled to 48khz or 41khz beforehand...
    I'm guessing that's the problem...

    Good luck......

  3. pijetro,

    Could you explain why resampling the audio first would fix the sync problem? It's a genuine question because I can't see how they're related.

    Basically, the VCD and SVCD takes 41khz, and DVD takes 48khz. If at anytime there is a conversion from one to another, then you get stretched or shrunk audio. The first few paragraphs basically say samplerate conversions, are like framerate conversions. Thank goodness for Vdub, and/or CoolEdit (not free)...

    The guides in the left show you how to extract the audio from Vdub, without stretching the .wav.

    If I remember correctly, Video>directstream copy, Audio>fullprocessing , Audio>conversion(48000), Audio>compression>pcm , File>Save .wav.

    Your audio should be good to go....

    Good luck!!!!!

    ahh that could be it!!

    not encoding to anything when i lose sync, just simple playing the script

    i'll look at their sample rates when i get home ...
