I know it is copy protections doing it, but I can't even just watch the tape with out getting brighter video then a sec or two dimer video, then sec or two bright. You know the deal, but this is even when I am just watching it on the pc, copy protection is messing with my system!
I have a device that prevents this, cleans the signal or something, but then I get little thin bands near the top of the screen. (got it from overseas somewhere.
Sometimes just 1 or 2 thin ones, sometimes it goes larger with moe of them. I can watch em fine this way but still anoying.
I disabled the copy protection detection of my ATI AIW with a patch, so I record exactly what I see, but I see the bands
Exactly what should I be looking to buy that actually works! I read Radio Shack has a black box, I'm in a rural area with a small Shack. Was there tonight, he did not know what It was, I got somthing we thought might work, but does not! I still get the flash when it is conected. I'll be taking it back. What I got was a variable gain video amplifier. Although it might boost the signal or something, it did nothing to get rid on the bright/dim problem, and I think I have a good enough signal strenght.
Thanks
