Ok, I have a bunch of music videos I'd like to put on DVD and watch them with my new APEX-1201 DVD player. I tried just dropping them on as data and burning the DVD, this worked but the videos skip terribly. Same thing happens when I burn a data CD with the .m2v files dropped onto toast. But, when i author them as an SVCD they play fine. So I figure this good ole $45 DVD player prefers correctly formatted videos, so I some help with these .m2v's. My technique so far:
1. Use MissingMPEGTools to convert .m2v to .bin
2. Use VCDToollsX to extract .mpeg files out of .bin
3. Use ffMPEGX to demux to .m2v and .mp2
4. Use MoreMissingTools to resample .mp2 to 48000Khz
5. Use ffMPEGX to Mux back
Supposedly now I have .mpeg's that are ready to be DVD authored, or imaged, or something... I haven't been passed step 5 yet, I have 2 questions:
1. Is there any way to reduce the first couple of steps and demux an .m2v file?
2. What do I do after step 5 to put my isht on a DVD?!?![]()
Thanx in advance.

i am a little lost... you are starting with a .m2v file which is a demuxed mpeg 2 video stream already...
What exactly is the format of your source and what are you trying to do with it? SVCD to DVD? -
Well as I understand it, an .m2v file does not have to be demuxed, it can contain an audio track. The music videos that I... acquired happen to be in this God-forsaken format. Yes I am trying to convert to a DVD with all of the videos (about 50 of em). I believe I have found a way to do it, but it's very tedious. A couple more noob questions:
1. Are there any batch mux/demuxers out there?
2. Are there any batch .mp2 resamplers?
Thanx for the reply 06. Gotta love this board.Morpheus - I remember that I am here not because of the path that lies before me, but because of the path that lies behind me. -
the extension .m2v does refer to a demuxed mpeg 2 video stream. Perhaps that you could rename the file to a .mpg extension without penalty... and i recommend doing so to avoid potential problems with apps seeing it as a demuxed video stream.
As far as putting it on DVD, there are some batch demuxers and mp2 re-encoding apps... the one that sticks out in my mind the most is MPEGPowerTool. You can find it here: http://www.anycities.com/user/bilestyle/Files/MPEGPowerTool.sit
You can thank Bile for that one.
I have posted a guide for the process of converting most media types to DVD format, which can be found here:

Thanx a lot! I wish I would have asked before doing 52 music videos individually! If you come across a batch-muxer, let me know! Thanx again! (I am now elevating myself to Noob-Stage_2).

for batch multiplexing, you can use none other than DVDSp or SIzzle...
but that is for final authoring of a DVD.
