SVCD in PAL on my DVD player with big green block

Hi. I have a DVP-NS325 sony and when i play some SVCD's that are PAL i get a big green block on the top and bottom of the TV. I have tried checking if the DVD player can convert the PAL signal to NTSC but it doesnt. I found a PAL VCD to NTSC VCD guide but not a PAL SVCD to NTSC SVCD guide. Does anyone know how to convert a PAL SVCD to NTSC SVCD?

if you look over there to the left side of the screen you'll see something that says "convert".. click it
