  1. I capture my video on Avermedia DVD EZ maker to DVD Mpeg-2 and I want to edit that in in Premiere or an other editor. How shall I do?
Is it possible to do that without decoding the Mpeg-2 file? Which program are the best?

    Thanks

you can edit it in any editor that accepts mpeg-2 files.

but because mpeg-2 is so highly compressed, you may have problems getting cuts exactly where you want them. There are also increased chances of the audio sync getting messed up. This is why editing is more commonly done on .avi format, rather than mpeg.

if you're going to do extensive, tight editing, you might want to capture as an .avi instead. If you're just doing rough editing like removing commercials from a tv show, you might do okay editing mpegs.
