  1. iv made some dvd-mpg“s created by MF2 from vcr

but the size is a little to large so i let MF create dvd folders
    instead of just burning

(so i can shrink them later and then burn )
    But i get an error

    "Cannot create file 93006:1:0"

The error comes just before mf is ready (i think)
Coz the size of the files created seems to be ok
but MF havnt created an IFO file and so on

  2. This may sound a stupid question to ask, but are you sure you have adequate room on you hard disk drive. The only time I've seen that message was when I only had 3Gb left (but didn't realise it) and tried to get MF2 to generate a 6Gb DVD.

  3. As Pioneer explains, a typical DVD-R disc has a 4.37gb capacity:

<sigh> Yes I'm very much aware of that, as also is the original poster, but thanks for reminding us. I think neither of us like's MF2's transcoding abilities and prefer to use other methods so we just use MF2 to create the vob's and ifo files.

I suspect you didn't fully understand.

There is a tech support FAQ on the Ulead DVD MovieFactory 2 Web site.

It features a new file size estimation ZIP file.

    Did you try it?

    Here is the FAQ text:

Q: I can't burn a DVD successfully if my project is closed on a 4.4GB such as 4.2/4.4GB that DVD MovieFactory 2 shows the size in the project and get error: "Disc space is not enough. Insert a new disc to retry, or press cancel to stop the process." [93006:1:0].

A: Sorry for the inconvenience. Please unzip the DMF2_EstimateSize.zip file into C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\DVD MovieFactory 2 program directory to overwrite original CVTAV.dll and uvmpeg.vio files.

The new updates will correct the current calculation of the estimated size in the DVD MovieFactory 2 to make the estimated size closer to the burnt one.

    You're right, I didn't and for that I apologise.

However, I've not had any trouble getting MF2 to generate oversize DVD files that I've then used DVD2one on to get down to size. But thanks for the information, I'm sure there are others who will find it very useful.

    Again my apologies.
