    Hello, first let'me say that this forum is the best ever, everytime i had a question...the answer was ... Check Video Help Forum...

    Anyway What I want know is what is the best program to creat DVD Menus????

    Depends on what you'd like to do. A good gfx app like PhotoShop, maybe some 3D modelling app, a video titler... You then put it all together in a good authoring app like DVD-Lab.

    effects software like After Effects for any special effect

    I would be inclined to DVD Lab Pro. It will let you create menu by importing picture or motion into it with sound. It has a good selection of button types and if you want to get more fancy than there is a DVD Menu Studio from the same Mediachance group.
    If you want just menu on its own than Menu Studio will do the trick.

    The gimp for images and animation (gap)
    Blender for 3d animation
    Wax 2 for effects similar to windows movie maker
    Avisynth , scripting
    Wings3d for simple 3d model creation

    Basic menu build via dvdauthorgui , just include a small title with audio so as to allow menu generation .
    Load your real dvds title via pgcedit , and simply click on title , select "import menu' .
    Fetch your menu (copy) , from dvdauthorgui's output folder , patch nav commands to suit , save .
    Play back prior to burning to disc .
