what version of Nero, what type of disc are you burning (data, dvd-video, UDF 1.02, etc) and what steps are you taking to do it?

  3. Due to the confusing way that disc sizes are advertised, a "4.7"GB disc can store 4.3GB of data.
You're probably right on the DVD size limit cusp at 4.3GB. Try DVDShrink with the original source, it's end file size usually ends up slightly under the 4.3GB limit.

  4. I had the same problem with the default setting in DVD2one and burning with recordnow. Change the file size to 4450 in dvd2one and it should work

  5. Hey,

I used to use Nero for everything...

It was a hassle and just gave me discs that were compliant on some standalones and not others (where they should be).

Just get the newest demo of CopyToDVD.

Great little program. The demo is full feature except for a little popup that reminds you to buy the prog.

    Just my $.02

  7. max i can put on one is 4487 MB...and if you add in overhead..it amounts to a little under 4489 MB...which is 4.38 GB

    DVD-5 is a single sided single layer DVD that stores up to about 4 707 000 000 bytes and that is 4.38 GigaBytes where 1 kilobyte is 1024 bytes(4 707 000 000B / 1024 = about 4 596 679KB / 1024 = about 4489MB / 1024 = about 4.38GB) . Video DVD, DVD-R/W and DVD+R/W supports this format. Often referred to as "single sided, single layer".
