I just went out to Best Buy and got one of their CD/DVD cleaning kits. They also have ones that say they will remove scratches, though I've never tried one of those.

A fine abrasive can be used to polish out scratches, toothpaste and Brasso being 2 examples.

For general cleaning, soap and water and a very soft cloth work fine.

  4. do one of you guys who use toothpaste to clean there cd's please tell me step by step how to do? In case there are anything i should know( pre-catuions,etc), I mean its my first time so i do not want to screw up. Or if there are any "household" cleaners, which 1's work the best

  5. Should I use tarter control, whitening, or the kind with baking powder?

Maybe I can just soak the disc overnight with my grandmother’s dentures?

Just don’t apply labels with Fixodent.

I knew it was good for something after you try a brand you don't like the taist of!

I will have to try that myself.

    Simple advice though.
Get a free AOL cd, put minor scratches on it like what your gonna try to fix, then practice! Best to screw up AOL than Spice girls
Well, ok same thing but you know what I meant!
I like Ginger and Baby Spice....

Also if you applied labels, don't get them wet! It might not hurt some, but I am sure it will many of em. Course no reall need to clean that side anyway, unless you dropped it in a mud puddle
