  1. I'm trying to capture some concert recordings from VHS to DVD and I would like to improve the sound a bit.....

Years ago I had a Dolby Digital decoder which my VCR was connected to and used for the sound.

Now I wan't to make a DVD with this Dolby sound, but when I capture the video and sound, convert it to DVD material then the sound isen't in any kind of Dolby Digital or anything anymore

So I need a program which converts a WAV file into seperate Dolby Digital files (left, right, center.......)

    Does this exist?

  2. well i often put bootleg concerts to dvd and i also struggled with audio. what ive done if its real bad ist o strip the audio open it in soundforge and remove noise and add bass or treble etc. it makes a difference as i often heightened the volume a bit too. i then re attach the audio to the movie file and encode to dvd mpeg 2.

i then author using sonic dvdit and in preferences i tell it to encode audio to dolby stereo 2.o and the sound is better and good

there are software titles that will allow you to encode audio to 5.1 dolby if you are interested email me and ill go through and find the name of them although the software is expensive and trying to get any other way has been tough for me to find.
