Recently purchased the Panasonic DMR-E50 DVD Recorder. I've been happy with it but have a question. When recording onto DVD-R is there a way while recording a program to have increments for scene selections? Example: When recording a movie from VCR tape, it records the whole movie as one program. During playback if I want to skip to a particular scene, I have to fast forward from wherever I'm at on the program. Kinda defeats the purpose of jumping to scenes. The only way to get around this is to record, stop, and start recording again to create a new program and skip from program to program. Even if that is done there will be a noticeable stop and start during normal playback. I can't seem to find anything in the manual to help me with this.
Any thoughts?

The E50 does not have an option to manually add chapter marks. The unit adds it automatically every 5 mins or so. The E80 has this ability when dubbing from the built-in HDD to -R.

Thanks Gil-T. Yeah, I found it in the manual. Although I wish you could manually add chapters for editing purposes. Still a great player and look forward to using it often.
