How to change region on PC

Hi,

I live in Canada and I understand this is region 1...however when I put a stor bought dvd into my computer it tells me I can not play region 1 dvd's in my computer...they play fine on my standalone dvd players....

How do I change my dvd region on my PC to region 1...

My OS is WindowsXP and I'm using Sonic Cineplayer....I tried DVDGenie and the tips at the DVDGenie site and none worked

Never mind....I did a Google search and found out how to change in XP....it was quite easy...
