I am converting 3 PAL svcds to 2 NTSC svcd. To simplify the process, im am converting and encoding each Avseq separtely, first i framserve each sequence in DVD2AVI to a d2v project and demux the audio (mpa). The mpa files have no delay for any sequence.
I use Tmgenc using the svcd film template and select 'Do not framerate conversion' encoding to a video only m2v. I process the mpa file to a wav in tmpgenc and then use besweet to convert to an mp2 file, once again there is no delay reported by dvd2avi for any of the 3 sequences, also i do use the correct settings in besweet for converting teh audio from PAL to NTSC.
I use tmpgenc again to mux the three sequences separately and the audio sync is correct for each of the three mpegs, however, when i merge the three sequences together, i noticed that the audio from the second sequence started much sooner than the video did.
Can someone please tell me why if the separate mpegs are in sync but when i merge them they are way out of whack. Adding to my confusion, i had previously converted directly from the d2v and mpa to mpeg2 using the SVCD PAL template in tmpgenc. Ironically, when i merged the 3 mpegs using this process the final mpeg did not have a sync error.
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT THNX.
p.s. all merging was done in tmpgenc
