My method is DVD Decrypter, DVD2ONE and RecordNow Max if its a DVD9 movie...my question is can I take my back up, open in DVD Decrypter (which now sees it as a DVD5) and make an .iso file out of it and just used DVD Decrypter to burn the .iso?
I'd try but don't want to waste my precious suply of dvd-r's.

I have had mixed success with using DVD Decrypter to make backup's of Backup's. I use Prassi to burn all my DVD-R's and on some of them DVD Decrypter would give me an error when trying to rip to .iso. I would then just rip the entire disk , and then burn with Prassi. All of these were with TDK(true TDK) 2Xmedia. Hope this helps alittle.

Yes is the short answer.
Spend $10 and get a couple of high quality dvdrw's for testing purposes. I bought 3 when somebody had them on sale for 5 each, I've used them several times each.
Mine are verbatium, work great.

Bodyslide: So if you didnt get an error in DVDD, the disk would work for you?
Tumbar: Good idea with the RW disks. -
Correct, on all the disks that I have been able rip to iso have burned with no problem. I also agree with getting a few DVD-rw to test with if your not sure.

I have done that many of times using dvd r's and had no problems. No video quality lost in using dvd encrypter to make a back-up of a back-uo

I just do a disc to disc exact copy using RecordNow Max and it works every time.
