  1. I've managed it before but for the life in me I can't seem to get it work anymore. All I want to do is to take the audio soundtrack off a dvd and save it as mp3 format so I can then use on my pc, and burn to cd if necessary.
I have BeSweet and Smart Ripper if that helps.

    Cheers.

Rip the .AC3 stream from the DVD that you want, then use Besweet to convert to .MP3.

I do this but I convert to .WAV for putting on a CD. My steps are:
    1) Rip proper stream (SR will do this okay).
    2) Use HeadAC3He to convert to 48ksps .WAV.
    3) Load .WAV into CoolEdit.
    4) Down sample to 44.1ksps.
    5) Adjust volume, cut into segments, filter, etc.
    6) Load into NERO and burn away.

You will, of course, have to adjust these steps for your .MP3 format.

  3. Whenever I use SR it makes files in VOB format and it has made 6 separate files. I thought it would have made one large file instead?
Anyway I try to convert the VOB files in BeSweet and I get this message...
    BeSweet v1.4 by DSPguru.
    --------------------------
Error 75: Unable to get VOBinput.dll interfaces
    Get it from http://DSPguru.doom9.org/effects.html
    Quiting...
    [00:00:00:000] Conversion Completed !

I have downloaded the file it suggests but cannot work out how to get this file to work.

    Hope you can help.

Then rip your DVD to your HD, then run the VOBs through DVD2AVI. This will give you one large file of your audio (with an .AC3, .MPA or .WAV extention). From here, you can use the AC3 to MP3 conversion in BeSweet. I think that BeSweet thinks that you have input VOBs, but SR has the naming convention incorrect (my theory, anyway - I always get my audio from DVD2AVI). Try this long way.
