Hi,
Has anyone done any comparable tests between the two above technologies.
Rockwell/Brooktree/Conexant/Fusion 878 based chip have been the chip of choice for many years in anologue capture cards.
The Conexant 23880/1 chip are present in new anologue capture cards from ASUS, Pixelview and MSI and is the new successor to the 878 chipset
These boast some new features like "Adaptive multi-line 2-D comb filter" compared to "Luma Notch and Chroma Comb" from the 878 chipset should give a better filtered picture with a better chroma content, 10bit capture compared to 8bit capture, it should give a higher dynamic range.![]()
The new chip should produce clearer capture from say a composite video signal. Has any one done any comparisons using say Huffyuv saved to some test avi's![]()
