Hello,
I would like to know if there is a software that can detect if an audio track is in Dolby Digital or Dolby Digital EX
I know that there is a bit somewhere, but don't know in which file.
This because my home theater is supposed to auto-detect which mode to select, based on the DVD disc. (Assuming that newer movie include that bit)
Thank you.
Pitou.

not many movies have Dolby Digital EX
some of the newer / better home recievers will display if the EX bit is set (and derive the matrix) -
Right, but is there a way to confirm that this bit is on??
I have a couple of DVD that says it's EX, like Castaway, LOTR, T2 SE, etc...
Any softwares, looking in any .ifo or .vob, etc...???
Thank you.
Pitou.
