Hello all,
I've been playing with DVD2SVCD 1.1.3b2 with both CCE 2.50 and TMPGenc Pro 2.511. I find that while the CCE encoder is indeed much faster for both CBR and VBR encodes than TMPGEnc, I am finding that the motion in the CCE results is not quite as smooth as the motion produced by TMPGEnc. It's really very subtle but is noticeable especially on my big widescreen TV with Pioneer DV-37 DVD player. Not so noticeable on my 32" TV with Pioneer DV-525 player. This occurs with both CBR and VBR CCE encodes.
I find the quality of the CCE and TMPGEnc results to be comparable but prefer the speed of CCE. Indeed TMPGEnc appears a bit sharper but CCE looks more filmlike - hard to explain the difference, but they both look quite good even on a big TV.
Any ideas on what may be causing the very subtle jerkiness in my CCE results? Any setting(s) I should try?
Thanks,
vcddude
