can you answer my question please instead of questioning me about the rights of this clip! what differences it makes and how is this related to my question
ps the clip arts are free all over the internet; there are some that you need to buy

  4. The answer is YES.

You can open Ulead VIDEOSTUDIO 7.0 and then, during the EDIT step, click on the OPEN FOLDER icon in the lower left hand corner of the screen and select IMPORT IMAGE.

    Then BROWSE to your clipart.

Often, clipart is in .WMF file format.

ULEAD VideoStudio 7.0 reads the .WMF file format.

If you are using Ulead MEDIASTUDIO PRO 7.0 (your post didn't specify), you can open CG INFINITY and then click FILE>IMPORT VECTOR FILE (assuming your .WMF is a true, closed-path vector shape) and then BROWSE to your clipart.

There are helpful tutorials for ULEAD VideoStudio 7.0 here:

If you're using VideoStudio 7.0, consider upgrading to the new pro-level Ulead StudioQuartet:

  5. can i use clip arts of movies or cartoon to make the final product more fun and interesting?

That was why I asked if you own the rights or have received permission.
If you do own the rights or have received permission, then yes you can. If you have not, then no you can't.

Interesting way to treat someone trying to help

    macleod,

"Interesting way to treat someone trying to help"

I agree comletely. But let me switch sides for just a moment and suggest that perhaps an answer, and then a friendly warning about permissions and ownership may have helped avoid such an unprovoked response.

Switching back to my original side... guevi... "can i use clip arts of movies or cartoon to make the final product more fun and interesting? if so what format of clip art can be use for this purpose."

I also took the first sentence here as an "Am I allowed to do this?" kind of a question because the second sentence started with "if so...". The information you're seeking is unclear as written and macleod was trying to answer your question. A little restraint in the future would be good.

You angered macleod and he will most likely ignore your questions in the future. Porbably a dozen people read it and will refuse to answer in the future also. It annoyed me too but I believe that macleod simply misunderstood your question. You also misunderstood that he was trying to answer you.

There IS no misunderstanding about your second post though. I'm not pointing fingers or blaming anyone. I'm trying to help you. Always assume that someone misunderstood your question and then clarify yourself instead of flying into a rage.

This site is generally populated by people of intelligence, maturity, and smashing good looks. They're here to learn and to help. No one was trying to upset you.

    Best Wishes,

Crap, Baldrick didn't say anything about having these qualities when I signed up here. Guess that means I am going to have to stop coming to this site

  8. i disagree. asking someone if they have the rights or whatever is cool iif your a cop otherwise none of your business. i always assume that people have legal stuff and its not on me to police them anyway, you can insert clip art be it legal or not . illegal doesnt mean you cant do it its up to an individual/ macleod is a good guy and i often read his posts but if i ask a question i hate to get the third degree about my sources and legalityies therein. so answer questions dont police the forum please

    Hi rsuave5,

Actually, we agree. I thought he was asking if this activity was allowed. If I was to answer that question then a warning about permission and ownership would apply.

Had I understood the question correctly, I'd never have mentioned those issues. I, like you, would assume the best. I agree with you completely that it's not up to us to police other people.

    An excellent point!
