So I am in need of some sort of editing software that will allow me to add transitions and the like to my families home movies. I have used Pinnacle Studio 9 and I really like the transitions (they have all of the requisite gaudy, dopey types my family just loves!) but I hate the program. From what I've read it sounds like the best two options are Adobe Premier and Sony Vegas and I was wondering which you would think would work better from someone who really likes MPEG Video Wizard for editing MPEG2 videos. I am working with DV files in this case though, so I need something that will let me edit the files and save them as uncompressed AVI files (which Pinnacle lets me do... in theory at least if it doesn't crash).
