  1. Ive got VOB files that are about 24 minutes in length.
    Is it possible to burn them onto a CD and play them in DVD players? how would i do this?

    Also if i have decrease the bitrate to fit them onto a CD is it possible to do this with TMPGEnc easily?

    These are called cDVD's and then answer is usually NO.

    Look at the DVD Players section on the left to look up your player.

    this is mine. it doesnt quite make specific whether it does or not.
    is CVD what you mean?
    and how would i burn a CVD disc?

    The only DVD player I've seen to play .VOB's in the ROOT DIRECTORY of a CD surface is the APEX 1500
    YOU MUST RE-NAME the file .MPG before you burn

    The easiest thing to do is RE AUTHOR your VOB file
    If its from HOLLYWOOD, the audio portion is undoubtably .AC3 format.
    Watch out because many authoring programs for consumers will not accept the ac3

    two that will accept your .VOB after its been suitably DEMUXED to AC3 and VIDEO ONLY streams:
    DVD LAB $99
    DVD ARCHITECT $$$$
    of course if you need to burn to DVD to play in your PIONEER
