  1. hi, is there any way to convert an avi film to burn on a dvd without having to split the avi in 2 before burning, so as to get the whole film on one disc? as at the moment i have to use 2 discs to fit 1 file and it nearly fills both discs.

    cheers

    questions -

    how big is the file?

do you want to play this on a dvd player, or just keep it as a data disc?

If you want this to play on a dvd player, you need to convert the .avi to mpeg, and then author a disc. check the guides on the left side in the Convert section.

If you just want to archive this on a disc to play as an .avi on your computer, I would suggest reencoding it with a codec that takes up less space.
