I'm trying to find out what is the most usefull format to convert to. I'm converting from mini-DV scubadiving film.
The goal is to make the best possible distributable format on cd to the clients of the maker of the films.

I've been testing abit with SVCD and i cant seem to make it work good enough. And since i want to make a (S)VCD that is possible to play at most DVD-players i am not shure what settings to use. (I forgot to add that my dvdplayer is Samsung 811, and it seems that it playes whatever i give it, so i cant use it at reference)

I've tested Divx also but since about every pixel on the films is under constant moving the convertion is VERY blocky. (nice for small files but nuthing else)

The mini-DV's are at 720x576 (PAL) 25fps. I would want a format that is possible to burn on cd's and dont look to crappy. (It HAS to be better than mini-DV --> VHS)
