  1. Well, Im new to the Forum and I recently got a new computer after my last computer crashed for the 8th time (in 3 years!!!). Anyway when I got the computer I had the guys install ATI 8500DV so I can make some VCDs and DVDs. I finally get home, set it up in about 3 minuets and get started on my first VCD, the picture and Audio were great! That night I decided to put the speakers from my old computer in my new one because they went louder, again everything sounded fine when I was playing my tape and when I was finished with the capturing I went to play it back and the Audio was terrible!!! It sounds very loud, the b/g music is always much louder then the people. Well, like anybody would do I detached the speakers and put the old ones back, but it's stayed the same. I tried messing with the Audio settings and that makes it a little better but it is still kind of crapy, can anyone help?

BTW, I am SORRY if I am posting in the wrong area, I really didn't know if I should post in the audio section or the Newbie section, but I figured that for the most part I am a total Noob I went with the Newbie section.

    -Thanks

Be sure you WINDOWS audio settings don't have ALL, WAV, or INPUT/AUX settings set too high. You're probably recording louder than allowed and red-lining or yellow-lining the sound. (You could see that in SoundForge in the EQ meter.)

About 50% to 75% is where it should be, not 100%
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.
