  1. Hi all,
i converted my avi to svcd and polyed it and it worked fine (usded the guide avi to svcd using DVD2SVCD) went to nero (got the new version) installed the svcd plug in, selected svcd added file and it burnt fine, went to play it in my DVD rom and it says file or cd is damaged, went to open the file itself in windows media p[layer and it says its currupt?

mad a lot of frisbies what do i do??

or is there a basic step by step guide to do AVI-SVCD on 1-2 cds with good quality?

went to play it in my DVD rom and it says file or cd is damaged
I get this all the time with excellent SVCD's

    they play in my settop
    they play in others setops
they play on 4 DVD-ROM drives here....
Its just that in the FIFTH drive I get the same message as you

THIS ONLY HAPPENS USING POWER DVD..
and the .DAT file on the disc that actually contains the VIDEO
will play fine if DRAGGED to the top bar of the WIDOWS MEDIA PLAYER 6.4, or dragged to the POWER DVD widow itself
(I only get that Corrupt message if I try to open thru the OPEN FILE DIALOG)

MY FIX: ignore the one drive that wo't play it from the getgo

HAVE you tried WIN DVD or SUPER DVD player?

even WINDVD 4. 0 or higher will play any good SVCD that POWER DVD says is damaged..Still don't know why I repeatably get this message
using like you-- but I think were using the best methods

if it won't play in powerdvd it won't play in media player or real one as they borrow your dvd softwares to play movie
