  1. I need to convert did rips to avi so i can use them for editing, cutting and joining scenes, etc. I need a program that can go to an uncompressed avi or any avi except divx so i can use it in editing programs like tmpgenc. I tried one called dvd to avi but it did not work corrrectly. Any help would be most apreciated. Thanks.

    The easiest method is using DVD2AVI (I'm not sure if this is the one your referring to or not). Make sure you get version 1.76. If you can't find it here, get it from www.doom9.org

    You can then save the output as a project file. This project file can be frame served to any encoder/editor, so you don't have to save an AVI file. It can be converted directly from VOB to whatever you want to output, skipping the AVI step completely.
