I burned my first backup tonight and it did not come out right. The picture is really jumpy and there are pauses in some parts of the movie. I used DVD X COPY. DOn't know if i did it correctly, but I used DVD X COPY to copy to the hard drive and then to my DVD burner. Is this the correct way to do this or can I copy from drive to drive?

WHen i play it from the HD it plays fine. When I play the burned copy on my PC and on my Stand-Alone DVD player, that's where the problems are. Is this a software problem? Is there a different way to make a backup copy?
-
Hi,
Might be a software problem...
You can try another burn program.
Might also be the media it's burned on. Try a different brand or type of media.

I have to ask did you put all the files into a VIDEO_TS folder then burn that folder?

I have the same problem. I'm using:
DVD Decrypter
DVD2ONE latest version
Copy2DVD
When I finish burning a DVD and insert it on my DVD standalone player, when I choose Scene Selection jumps to the last ones, or if I go to Extra and there are more than one page with extras, jumps to the last one. The quality of the video is fine, except some little jumps during the movies.
Thanks in advance for your help. -

My "jumpy" refers to the video bumping sideways a small bit every 20 seconds or so. HIGHLY ANNOYING. I've tried two different medias, including my good Apples (now a frisbie because of the jumps) and even a DVD-RW.I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored. -
I've used also Instant Copy, but the DVD copy is still jumpy. anybody can help us on this problem?

Could this be a frame rate problem? Maybe your original movie was one frame rate, and you recorded it as another, which causes the stutter effect?
Thx in Advance!! -
