I want to copy a DVD9 to DVD5 (into a single disc), but my problem is that, although I just extract the video track and one audio channel, it exceeds the maximum capacity of a DVD5 disc (it results 4,5 GB). As I don't want to lose video quality, my idea was to convert the audio track from AC3 5.1 to 2-channel stereo at 384 Kbps. I've done so (now I have a huge 2-ch wav file), but now I need to create the m2v file to be able to author it with IfoEdit and burn all the VOBs into a DVD-R.

I've tried to use TMPGEnc to demux the VOB's files. I get several m2v files but then If I merge them to get one audio file and one video file, the resulting files produce freeze and frame skipping when watching the movie with Power DVD (before burn it, of course). Audio is ok.

My question is:

Do you know some way to modify only the audio track in a DVD video (downconverting AC3 5.1 into Stereo) and, of course, getting finally vob files to create a DVD-R video disc?

Other possibility is to replace all the audio tracks in my DVD by the 2-ch wave file. But, does it exist any tool that does so?

Thank you very much for your help in advance
