I was wondering if anyone with this player, or with another player has ever experienced a high-pitched sound comnig from it when they attempt to play media on CD-Rs.
My player is a Pioneer DV-343.
I've used multiple types of media on it, so it's not the media, but what the problem is, is you can hear a high-pitched some emitting from it occasionally. Getting closer to the player you realize it's coming from the inside and is probably related to the disc spinning. The weird thing is, it only happens on CD-R movies, and I'm thinking to even narrow it down more, SVCD videos. I've never had a problem and still don't with normal DVDs or VCDs. But, I guess my string of this problem has related all back to SVCD media (like Matrix Reloaded, X-Men, Gangs of New York and One Hour Photo).
Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions? It actually sometimes goes away, within the current disc playing.
The Pioneer has been a good player, plays everything I throw at it...but I've been eyeing a 5-disc so I don't have to get up and change the discs..hehe. Maybe it's time.
Thanks for any insight.
