I am very seriously looking at getting an EMAC for editing mainly home movies and archiving some very old videos to disc's (with menus etc)

I have many dvdr's of assorted footage that a friend copied for me on his Panasonic E30

I dropped into an APPLE DEALER to try one of the dvdr's out on a EMAC SUPERDRIVE just to actually see it work. To my (and the assistants surprise) apart from acknowledging the disc when inserted it would not play. When the sales assistant tried to check the disc file nothing came up
In other words it didn't seem to read the disc at all.

The sales assistant had no idea why this happened. Can anyone please shed some light on this as I have since tried it on a number of PC's with no problem. I am really interested in getting an emac superdrive but if I cannot play these disc's (I have around 45 dvdr's from the pan e30 that I would like to edit) then its pointless.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bluey
