    What's the best mpeg conversion program to resample bitrate to XVCD according to Disk size eg. 650MB, 700Mb and not by using the bitrate you specify.. Normally Mpeg conversion programs such as TMPGENC will only resample bitrate according to the bitsize you specify. But which one does it according to Disk size? I need to create XVCD optimally on a 700Mb cd.

    The bitrate and the length of the clip determine the file size. You can use a bitrate calculator if you like, there's one in the Tools section. If you use the wizard in TMPGEnc then you can select the disk size and the bitrate to fill it in the bitrate setting window.

    BTW, an 80 min. CD will hold 800 MB in VCD mode.
