I run an internet cafe and one of my customers asked me today if he could play NTSC DVDs that he bought here is America on his DVD player back in Australia. His television is a Pal set and all he could tell me about his DVD player was that it had no region restrictions. And if he can't play them, is there any way to burn these DVDs in Pal form? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You'll just have to test the player. They vary. And yes, you can convert. But you ahve to rip the files, reconvert the whole thing, remake your menus, reburn. Not a simple process.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored. -
I've bought several NTSC Region 1 discs in the States and they play fine on my DVD players (all multi-region) here in the UK.
As far as I know, most (if not all) DVD players will output NTSC but of course you must also have a television that supports this standard. Most modern PAL televisions are in fact multi-standard and will happily display NTSC signals. All mine do.
