I am converting an *.avi movie who is 600mb to vcd and the is so big, it's almost 2,5gb, what is wrong???

At VCD 2.0 specs, it's roughly 10MB per 1 minute of video... So 90 minutes would be 900MB.
What you're saying is you have a 250 minute movie... That's a 3 disc movie! What movie is it?

if that is the case... try getting the dvd of the movie and rip it and encode to vcd... for a long movie it will definitly look 10x better using a dvd as the source than an avi... especially if the avi is only a 1cd rip of a long movie.
