  1. I've been looking on this site for over 2 hours now and I just can't find an answer. The problem is that I don't know a lot of this stuff, so I don't understand half of the conversations.

Anyway: I ripped Toy Story 1 (its a two-layer dvd, which (according to this site) means it is a DVD9) with DVD Decrypter.

First problem: reallocation. Somewhere on this site somebody said to just ingore that one, and that it would still work.
Second problem: My 'compression' is still 6.8GB, the biggest DVD's (to write upon) I could find are only 4.7. (I've got DVD-R, 16x).

How do I compress my compression?
And is it actually true that if I ignore the reallocation problem, it'll all work correctly?

In Dutch we'd say: bij voorbaat dank!
In English it would be like: 'Thanks in advance', although I don't know if this is a real saying or not.

  2. Rip the disc to your hard drive, then use DVDShrink or, (better) DVDRebuilder to fit to DVD5. Click on one or the other and scroll down to see available guides.

    Welcome to the forum.

The really old DVD Decrypter may not be able to get past the encryption on that DVD. If what fritzi93 says fails, try a newer decrypter program like DVDFab HD Decrypter or similar. And most all commercial DVDs are dual layer DVD 9.
