LAst night when I was copying a DVD , my instantcd-dvd 6.5 hanged up my computer after a bit of started writing.
Result, obviously, dvd-r to trash. or not?
My idea is, it's possible to "close" the session left (I presume) open to be able to use the dvd-r in the remaining free part (trat should be 99%)?
It's just an idea, I hate the fact of wasting a new dvd-r.
Thanks a lot
Bye from Italy
Simone

Nero have the avalabily to to "continue" a CD (or DVD)
try it with the wizard, it will ask you if you want a new DVD or continue a DVD.. it could work -
I would be highly suprised if you could still use it.

As mentioned in your cross post (naughty, naughty), if it was a data disc then you might have got away with it.
Video ? No chance. The disc will not conform to DVD Video specifications and unless your standalone is very flexible with the rules, it will not play if you try to add to a failed session.
You will probably find your recording software rejects the disc as not being blank anyway.
