I have the A05 and find that I can't use cheap media for my players. TDK is what I use that plays on all my players. But I also bought a spindle of 50 DVD-Rs that won't play with any consistency. I have a JVC 300, Pioneer DV-250 and Panasonic ??? standalones. The TDK media plays on all, my cheapo generic brand plays only on my Pioneer - sometimes. Check out "DVD Media" on the left bar to see what others have had success with before you buy. By the way, I've burned with Nero, RecordMax Now, DVD Movie Factory and DVD Architect with the Generics - but no dice.
