This is just a short question, wasnt sure what category to put it in so I chose this one. What is a website that will host my movies so I can share with the world? Ive tried Angelfire and Geocities and neither has worked. Thanks

1. well, for starters, none of the free web hosting will work due to limitations with bandwithand speed.
2. You should not be putting it on those terms of sharing them with the world, since the law says that you must be the rightful owner of a film in order to back it back and have it for your personal collection.
3. and foremost if you really want to put them up on a website you are going to have for the hosting, and the desired bandwith you would like to have.
so with this being said you will be better off sharing them the regular way, meaning using any of the clients of the gnutella network.

If you are making short films, I would suggest ifilm.com as a place to start, you can submit your film to them and see if they want to add it to what they host.
there are other sites like ifilm, none of which I can think of at the moment... look around - there are internet venues for distributing short films.

how long is your film?
lycos.co.uk give 50megs for free and bravenet.com give 100megs for free.
you could compress it to WMV. -

I have a site hosted by Freeservers, they give me 20Mb free space... but I can't upload any files bigger than 500k, and my bandwidth is capped at 500Mb's per month.
Many of the free sites have bandwidth and filesize caps, because they don't want to be hosts for pirate files or warez downloads, or image hosting for auction sites (anyone here not seen the infamous "Angelfire image link" graphic?)
Tx, if you could provide us with some links... it's been a while, but I did a pretty intense search before settling on Freeservers, and I couldn't find anybody without really restrictive caps.
