When using TMPGEnc to encode both The Phone Booth and The Hot Chick the picture is perfect but after 10 to 15 mins on The Hot Chick and 50 mins on The Phone Booth the sound starts to become garbled it sound as if its just the bass sound, any ideas as to why this is happeing?

As you have downloaded these files I would say that they contain bad frames, you could try removing these. If this does not work I would recommened downloading the file again.

If they file is a downloaded AVI (DivX/XviD) then it is possible to use VirtualDub to frameserve it into TMPGEnc as well
