    I converted an Xvid file with TMPGENC. The resulting mpg looks great and is approx 2.35:1
    After burning to DVD the video plays at approx 1.85:1 on the TV.
    The image is NOT vertically stretched, side info is lost.

    I tried buring with a few different authoring programs and got the same result.

    Any help?

    did you choose correct aspect ratio settings in tmpgenc?
