I'm bringing in an avi file (movie) but it is type 1. If I take this file and encode with TEMPEnc to a mp2 using system video and audio the movie and sound are ok. If I try to convert the avi type 1 to type 2 using the DV Type 1 to DV type 2 converter (found in the tools section) then open the file in either Goldwave or Sound Forge, every 20 minutes the audio is maxed out (I mean nothing but this loud noise and the left and right channels shown in either software is nothing but a solid color no visual peaks of any kind). What could I be doing wrong with the avi conversion that is corrupting the audio like this.
