I used Smartripper to rip a movie to the hard drive, then used DVDX to covert it to AVI using a 2400 kpbs bit rate with the Divx codec. If I rip only a segment or two the movie will play back just fine. If I rip the entire movie, then NONE of my players (Mediaplayer, Divx, QT, Etc.) will play it. If I use the Divx player I get the following error message:
This file cannot be opened
StreamSourceFilter::eekFromBeginning(0) out of readLimit range: -1
Anyone know what could be causing this? Movie is Apllo13, and I can't for the life of me figure this one out.![]()
Thanks!
Foochey
PS-I'm using WinXP Pro with NTFS partition to copy the movie. Final file size after decoding is 2.1Gb using a 2400 bit rate in Divx.

I've had problems for some reason with big divx files, try splitting it into 3 pieces.
