when i try to watch the vcd on my stand alone dvd, i have a problem with the pic smoothness. when ever there is a fast movment on the screen(even a person walking) the pic is stuck for a fragile of a sec.
what can i do?

When it's only on your standalone DVD player and not your PC, then it's probably the bitrate. The bitrate of the VCd might be a bit too high for your DVD player.
Another reason might be framerate conversion. When the source material is e.g. 23.976fps and your creating a PAL VCD (25fps) then the video plays back jerky. This is really visible when you have movement in a scene (e.g. a person walking by). This jerkiness is also present when played on a PC. Solution here is create a VCD with the same framerate as the source material or let VirtualDub do the framerate conversion and speed up/ slow down the audio to match the duration of the video half.
