I would like to know how do you backup one of the 2 version so you can keep the original quality, no transcoding need as you remove one version but keep the menu.
If someone have a tutorial for that, when there' s only one menu vob file for both version (I' ve found a tuto to do this when there are 2 menu vobs.
bye

the first thing you'll need to do is use a ripper such as DVD Decrypter to rip the version you want (FS/WS.) If you are unsure, use IFOEdit and check the .IFO files to see which is which. Then check out the "guides" section on this site. I believe there is a guide titled "keeping menu's the easy way" or something to that affect. And then you will be set.

1. Rip the WHOLE DVD to your drive.
2. Use IFOedit to play the movie, find out what Titleset is the version of the movie you want to keep (Widescreen or full screen)
3. Delete the VOBs from the NOT USED titleset.
4. Use MenuEdit to kill button to non-existant movie view (wide / Full)
5. If the movie is less than 4.3 gb, use the GET VTS Sector button in IFOedit, burn the movie. DONE.
6. If movie still to big, stream rip, use IFOupdate, Menuedit to kill menu button to non-existant movie version, Get VTS Sector, burn, Enjoy.

Well, I have done 150 DVD's and its worked flawlessly on my Apex 1500.
Anyway, what you want to do is skip the menu from showing up. You need to use IFOedit. If the aspect ratio menu is the First Menu that appears when you put in the dvd, then just change the - First play PGC to point to the ROOT Menu titleset, if this is baffeling to you, check out the Doom9 forum on IFOedit, its in there, especially 2cools cheat sheats, he has guides for everything you want to do.
