In the last couple of days I've run into a problem with 2 Criterion DVDs. One had CSS protection and the other did not. Everytime I try to rip the files from the disk, any program I use fails, or, if it did go, I'm left with a VIDEO_TS folder without any VIDEO_TS files. No .ifo,.bup, or .vob. The two disks were Robocop and The Last Temptation Of Christ. Same exact problem. My burner is a Sony DRU120A and never had a problem itself. I usually use DVDdecryptor to rip but I've also used just a window copy (on the one without protection) with the same result. Eventually I had to use DVDshrink and it worked, although I've never liked it's quality. Any suggestions? The error is too weird to be a coincidence.
Thanks.

Try ripping with SmartRipper. Another thing you could do sine you are able to rip the VOB files is use IFOedit to create new IFO's then at least you could use DVD2one or other programs to process the files.
