OGM file plays fine on 1 computer but not on the other (so file is fine). Audio and subtitles all play great. Video plays for 1st 3 seconds or so, then freezes on a frame and never changes. Audio and subtitles continue to play - but not the video. Have reinstalled the latest OGG filters (0955) - even in safe mode. This is Win XP Pro if it makes any difference. So - how do I get it to play the video?

There are several things you can try.
First, find out what codec was used fo the video stream using Gspot.
if it's XviD (which most OGMs are), try downloading a newer distrubition of the XviD codec.
Also, you might try installing the divx anti-freeze component.
If none of this works, download ffdshow from www.sourceforge.com, install it, and through it's configuration panel, check the box next to whatever codec the file is in. THis will cause it to use its own engine to decode the video rather than the standard decoder.
All of the apps I listed should be linked to in the Tools section of this website.
Hope this helps,

Gspot says divx5. Reinstalled Divx5. Didn't fix it. Installed latest xvid for a goof. Didn't fix it. Installed ffdshow. Fixed it! Woo-hoo! Thanks.
