open up the subs in subresync and edit them there. you can also resize the movie before adding the subtitles to get them into the black border. but you should be aware of overscan.

its part of vobsub. the subtitles are set to appear at a preset distance from the bottom of the video. that's why it may not look right to you. you will have to edit the subs.

I think it has something to do with the Anamorphic movies, when i ripped the subtitles from an Anamorphic movie, the subtitles are place abit above the black bar, but then, when i lower the subtitles to fit on the black bar, some of the subtitles are missing, the subtitles are only showing on the Anamorphic boarder. I'm sure alotta you have the same problem.

When i rip the non-anamorphic movie with subtitles, the subtitles are correctly place in the black bar.

because non-anamorphic movies are 4:3. if you want them to show up on the black bars in anamorphic movies, you're gonna have to resize the movie!

Resize the movie!?! what exactly do you mean by that? I don't want the movie to look stretch out just so i could get the subtitles in the right spot.

i mean, you need to add the black borders in there. you can use virtualdub to add the borders then frameserve to tmpgenc.
