Hi, Iīm inserting a new audio track on an DVD by going through the usual process.. demuxing with PGCDemux, remuxing everything + new audio back with IfoEdit or Muxman, replacing the main movie in the DVD with VobBlanker.
Just after muxing, the chapters are ok, just like the original DVD. Problem is, after replacing the movie, the chapters get all messed up.
Tried using IfoUpdate to replace, but get no sucess.
Any suggestions?

The chapters should be in the same place as originally. Were there any red messages after doing the VobBlanker step? Did you compare the original Celltimes.txt from PGCDemux with the new celltimes as seen in PGCEdit (double-click the video->Celltimes.txt->OK)
As an alternative, do the replacing using PGCEdit. If the video is the only title in the VTS it works well. Open the original DVD in PGCEdit, highlight the original video, and then File->Replace VTST titles. -

Impossible, there are 2 titles in the VTS. They would be the theatrical and unrated version of the movie

7 WARNINGs: nuPGCs (2) was different from the value stored in VTS_TMAPTI (0). Fixed
1 WARNING: Number of Cells lower in replacing title. Blanking last ones
Vobblanker reports 2 PGCs in the titleset, in the lower window (the 2 versions of the movie?). Duration 1) 01:44:24:18 and 2) 01:44:52:10
** If I blank either one of the titles and replace the other, there are those warnings and the chapters get messed up.
** If I donīt blank nothing and replace title 1, same as always. If I replace title 2, I get the warnings below, the chapters are PERFECT just like the original, but the DVD size doubles!

I created Celltimes.txt from PGCEdit, since itīs the only way it turns out right after remuxing, just like
the original DVD.

You might have mentioned that you had multi-angle or seamless branching with this thing. You'll have to remove one of them before doing any replacing (you'll probably want to get rid of the theatrical version). Didn't VobBlanker warn you when you first opened the DVD?
-
Yes it did. Then I removed ILV information of both TTNs in PgcEdit and VobBlanker didnīt complain anymore.
-
Then I don't think you did it right, as the replaced one consists mostly of blanked cells. I usually do it (remove one of the angles) with IFOEdit and then finish the job in PGCEdit (Del Angles), however, it's been a while since I've done it and I'm a little rusty.
See if this guide helps you to get started:
http://www.doom9.org/mpg/ifoedit-multiangle.htm#anglestrip
You'll want Step 3.
And if worse comes to worst, you can ask in the IFO/VOB Editors Forum at Doom9 where you're more likely to find the PGCEdit developer as well as a lot of other smart people. Sometimes rolZ, the PGCEdit developer, checks in over here. Maybe he'll see this thread. -
I was backing up a DVD that had both a "theatrical release" or "unrated version" angle. The subtitles that I ripped from the original had all kinds of overlaps, making compiling a DVD impossible. I had to use IFOEdit to select my angle and strip all unwanted streams to create an interim video folder from which I gathered all needed assets. Once I did this, everything went smoothly.

NO SUCCESS YET AFTER TRYING WHAT FOLLOWS BELOW
The DVD has seamless branching, with two versions of the movie (Theatrical and Unrated), in the same
VTS, in PGC 1 and PGC 2.
I want to keep the unrated version, that is PGC 2.
VobBlanker complains when it opens a DVD like this giving the ILV cells warning.
So, I ran IfoEdit to remove seamless branching, the output DVD remained with two PGCs.
PGCDemux this DVD, and Celltimes showed 38 chapters for 38 cells, where the correct would be 16 chapters for 38 cells, this can be achieved in PGCEdit by choosing Celltimes.txt - output only chapters.
Original DVD Cells/Chapters as showed in VobBlanker in fig. 1.
Remuxing everything would result output showed on fig. 2, Chapters work perfectly like in the
original DVD. But thereīs only 16 cells.
In VobBlanker, replacing would result output showed on fig. 3, Chapters are messed up.
Fig. 4 show whatīs going on during process in VobBlanker, I think this can clearly outline the problem. It is
replacing 33 cells with remuxed 16 cells and blanking the rest. The result is the chapters go crazy.
Tried to replace in PGCEdit but itīs impossible because of the two titles in the same VTS.
Tried to "Hide All Blocks" for PGC1 in DVDRemake but no success.
Tried to delete the blanked PGC in DVDRemake but it messes up the DVD structure.

You should have kept the 38 cells/chapters. I don't think that'll solve all your problems, but it'll go a long way.
Remuxing everything would result output showed on fig. 2, Chapters work perfectly like in the
original DVD. But thereīs only 16 cells.
But you also go from 38 original cells to 33 after removing the theatrical version. If replacing with the original 38 cells doesn't work perfectly, you might have to try and figure out which are the 5 now superfluous cells and delete them from the celltimes.txt. You may not have followed the IFOEdit instructions entirely correctly either. The original unrated versions seems to be nearly 3 seconds longer than your version. -
I finally got it to work.
Thatīs what I did:
1. Opened original DVD in DVDRemake, hid all blocks of PGC 1 and exported DVD.
2. Opened exported DVD in PGCEdit, deleted the 'non-chapter' cells of PGC 2. Now it has 16 cells for the 16 chapters. Saved.
3. In VobBlanker, replaced PGC 2 with DVD authored in IfoEdit, which has also 16 cells.
4. Burned and tested on PC and standalone. Everything seemed to work perfectly, chapters navigation through RC or menu worked just like the original DVD.
May there be any side-effects using this procedure, or itīs ok since the final DVD worked well? -
I saw the thread at Doom9. goonix said to remove the non-chapter cells from the original DVD so your 16 cell reauthored DVD matched its cell count. I said to boost the cell count of the reauthored DVD to match the original. Both ways work. Good going for sticking with it until your problem was solved.

Thanks manono, it was a real headache but it was worth the effort, I now have a working DVD with custom language and subtitles.
