Hey folks,
Got a quick question. Seeing as I have only 74 min. blank CD-R's (for now) I am finding it highly annoying when I have a standard 2 hr. movie and the second part is just a tad-long and won't fit on the disk. I end up having to decrease the Video bitrate to make it fit, which compromises the fluidity of how the SVCD plays. Question is this: How can I set the bitrate specifically to the rate I want (From what I get from the bitrate calculator) without having TMPEGEnc always set it back to the default of 1600 kpbs...this is annoying me.
Thanks
His Iceness

For using CBR? Just put in your CBR, then click on where it says bitrate, and it will pull up a little drop-down box that has Lock and unlock as choices, and choose "lock". Then save the settings as "whatever.mcf" and load that when you want to make an SVCD.

Or use VBR which is better for this type of thing anyway.

Yeah, 2-pass would give you much better results, but take twice the time. So it's a trade-off; quality Vs. time spent... :/
