sound problem with conversion in dvd2avi

Hi,

I converted a dvd using DVD2AVI and saved it as a d2v file...and a wav file.
The problem with my wav file is its 3gigs and it doesnt seem to work when I try playing it.

I converted the d2v and wav into mpeg using TMPEGENC and I get the final mpeg but it has no sound.

Is there a better way to convert this to get the sound?
